With Accordion i had the idea to design a mobile loudspeaker based on the similar instrument. Increasing the volume of the accordion principle provided me with the basis for my design. In larger loudspeakers, the vibrating membrane is amplified by a volume. This often results in a heavy, bulky object which always represents an additional piece of luggage. The empty volume is not used most of the time. The design of my speaker is intended to make this volume disappear. In its function, the housing can be extended and compressed by two built-in dampers, thereby increasing or decreasing the volume.
